Question: What is the best way to lay out a concrete patio which has a curved design?
Answer: The easiest way is to use a garden hose and lay it in the pattern you wish to create. Then drive your stakes in next to the hose so you can nail thin strips of plywood or other flexible wood as your forms to hold the concrete in place as the concrete sets. The sharper the curves in your layout the more stakes you need to hold the forms in place as the concrete is being placed in the forms. These forms need to be held quite substantially or the weight of the concrete will force them out of place.
